Dinsmore's are 8 miles west of Skykomish in the town of Baring.  Hitch to Skykomish if you have general delivery mail at the PO.  In Skykomish there is the Sky Deli (sandwiches and hand dipped ice cream), liquor store and the Sky Gas (junk food). The Cascadia Inn has 14 rooms, Cafe and Caboose Lounge. Unfortunately the Whistling Post Tavern has had a tragic accident and burned to the ground. If you want to stay at the Dinsmore's give us a call from Skykomish and we will come and get you or hitch to West to Baring on Hwy 2 mile marker 41 and get out at the Baring Store. The Baring Store has a super neat cafe. From the Baring Store go over the tracks and take the first left and down to the Dinsmore sign.  We have 2 acres of grass for pitching tents and hanging out. You will have access to a shower, bathroom, laundry, computer, indoor hiker dorm with bunks, kitchenette, mail room, recent mountain conditions, hiker box, watching movies and drying out. We also have free WIFI for hikers.

All hikers hitch to and from the Dinsmore's.  

MAILING INSTRUCTIONS:

All resupply boxes must be mailed in care of the Dinsmores if you want us to pick them up and hold them here. We have a very small PO and if you are staying with us please allow us to store your boxes here at the house.  If you are staying at the Cascadia Inn please have them pick up and hold your boxes there. It will save you a hitch down here and back.

We are letting hikers know that all hiker mail goes to the Skykomish Post Office Box or is delivered UPS or FED-X. These are the mailing addresses for resupply boxes. Any Post Office mail that is addressed to the Baring house will be returned to sender. Our PO Box is in Skykomish. The house is in Baring (8 miles away). We do not have Post Office mail delivery to our house. Those are the Post Office rules not mine.   

WE DO NOT DELIVER BOXES TO SKYKOMISH.
